Homecoming 2024 was a huge success! Look at this crowd, and this was not everyone. We are so thankful for the great weather we had and that so many could gather again. There were a lot of first timers and we hope they come back! Many thanks to the FPI volunteers, the Cape Lookout National Seashore staff under the leadership of Superintendent Jeff West, and all attendees who made the trip. We are indebted to the Austins, who somehow seem to get everyone there and back for the day. We were happy to see lots of folks who came on their own boats as well.
The winners of the two raffle items were Suzanne Williams (antique coverlet) and Marshall Hamrick (framed original drawing of the Portsmouth Lifesaving Station by Bruce Tarkington). Congratulations to these winners, and thank you to Jeanne Robertson and Bruce Tarkington for these incredible donations.
We’ll have more to come, but enjoy the group picture above taken by Ann Ehringhaus of Ocracoke.
