WELCOME TO THE JESSE BABB HOUSE PROJECT! \u00a0This house is currently being rehabbed by FPI and when completed will be used for work project housing when our members are working in the village. \u00a0We hope to be able to offer more work projects and lodging at the house to members who are able to help with construction, scraping, painting, cleaning, etc. at the Babb House, the Henry Pigott House, and other projects in the village. \u00a0We are currently accepting donations of labor, supplies and financial contributions to restore this house to be used as our work base.<\/p>\n

UPDATE: \u00a0Hurricane Dorian did extensive damage to the Babb house after our many hours of work and expenditures to get to ready for occupancy. \u00a0The stabilization has been completed, but we will be starting over again with painting, refinishing the floors, and acquiring the necessary appliances which were destroyed by salt water. \u00a0Donations toward the Babb house will be accepted and appreciated!<\/p>\n

The Jesse Babb House was built in 1916 and was remodeled by Jesse in 1927. \u00a0He lived there with his wife Lillian and daughters Edna Earl, Marian Gray and Jessie Lee. \u00a0We are pleased to partner with Cape Lookout National Seashore to rehab this house in honor of the Babb family. \u00a0See below for pictures of our progress so far:<\/p>\n
